UNI hs done a good job of spreading the offense to take advantage of their size and quickness. UE has gone mostly to a smaller team to counter UNI's speed. UNI shooting a lot of 3s (13 0f 19 shots beyond the arc) and hitting a decent percentage . UE has made a lot of unforced giveaways allowing UNI to get and keep the lead. Looks like UNI is playing a decent game and if UE can improve their second half game it's going to be close at the end.
Back to the smaller lineup for UE. UNI starts their spread offense out near the center line negating the double team and forcing our big men one on one with Koch and O'Rear. Advantage UNI.

yeah, right...
It was a loose ball and bogus foul, like the majority of the calls against him in this game.
UNI definitely looked like the better team, and surely had the better players. But UE certainly competed hard all game. Ryan got a couple of easy baskets in the second half, and Denver Holmes always seems to hit a bunch of jumpers against UNI.
Though UNI did maintain a comfortable lead all throughout this game.
